A Fork in the Road

Today’s message is to take a moment to think through the consequences of the choices you make. A seemingly small choice can have big ramifications for you and for the outside world. At the heart of every decision we make are two questions – who am I and who do I want to be, and every decision we make is a reflection and consequence of these two. The ask from the card today is to think about the choices support this becoming.

There is a fork in the road, you can continue on the path that you were on or you can choose a new road for yourself. Today and all this week the universe will be throwing options at you, allowing you to choose where you want to go and how you want to get there.

If you’ve always done things a certain way try something different and see how it feels and where it leads you.

Every day we get to make innumerable choices that have varied consequences. Some of them impact only us and some have a broader impact on the world we live in. Take food for example – there is the simple consequence of our own health and there is are far-reaching consequences to farmers and to livestock. The simple choice of ‘what to eat for breakfast’ can be a life-altering one. And a small change can lead to a completely different you.

If you choose to be vegetarian, for example, it does make your yin side stronger, so it can make you more sensitive, more empathetic, less aggressive and even heighten intuition. If you take that path (and if it’s different from your current state) you may find that your personality is undergoing a shift, your life goals shift, you make some new friends and so on. It’s a small shift but it can lead you down a completely different path.

The point here is to not advocate vegetarianism but to be aware of the various choices you have every single day and to think-through them and give every choice the weight it deserves because you never know which one will lead you to the place you need to go.
